Closets in solid wood

Which closet is right for you?

A closet is primarily designed for hanging clothes on hangers. These hangers need to have sufficient internal depth to ensure that the hanger does not interfere with the closing or opening of the door, and that the garment is well supported so as not to be creased or damaged. We therefore recommend closets with an overall depth of 58 to 60 cm.

The oak dressing room closet shown on this page is linked to a doorway requirement with a maximum overall depth of 50 cm. With hangers 43-44 cm long, it's a little cramped, but just right with the hangers positioned at a slight angle.

The ideal length of a closet will vary according to its location: hallway, dressing room or bedroom, and the space you have available. The number of garments you wish to hang is the third factor to consider.

Finally, you can decide to use your closet as a complementary storage space by using the shelf that supports the hanging bar, or add drawers, high compartments or even complementary modules to store your other clothes or household items.
