The chiffonnier is a taller-than-wide piece of furniture with drawers whose origins date back to the early 18th century. Maison GONTIER offers chiffonniers in the classic Louis XVI Directoire style, modernized with the MÉLANIE collection, in the Louis Philippe style with the FLAUBERT collection and in a more "country" spirit with the TRADITION collection. Originally, the semainier was designed with 7 drawers, one for each day of the week. Our customers tend to request chiffoniers with 4 to 6 drawers, which we present on this page. We can, however, produce a customized 7-drawer chiffonier for hobbyists or larger storage needs.
The chiffonier is equally at home in the bedroom, living room, dining room or entrance hall.
Whichever version you choose, your chiffonier will be made of solid wood from sustainably managed forests in France, and made to order in a French workshop.
