We use traditional mortise-and-tenon joints, renowned for their strength and precision. This craftsmanship ensures flawless assembly and exceptional durability, allowing each bed to last for decades.

Each bed is delivered in several parts to make handling and installation easier in the room of your choice.
The MÉLANIE bed frame consists of a headboard, a footboard, and two long side rails forming the structure. Two cylindrical wooden support bars are fixed across to hold the base. Positioned 20 cm from the floor by default, their height can be adjusted when ordering to perfectly match the height of your bed base.
The bed can be ordered:

on its own, to accommodate a base you already own,

with a perfectly fitted bed base,

or with both base and mattress from our French partner, for a complete and durable solution.
Assembly
The MÉLANIE bed frame requires just four quick fixings: two at each end of the side rails. All screws are included (screwdriver not provided).
Allow around 20–30 minutes for full assembly, including handling and positioning the support bars. The process is best done by two people: one holds the side rail while the other screws it in.

International delivery
For international orders, shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout once the address is entered. Depending on the country, delivery may be:

to the room of your choice, with optional in-home assembly, or

delivered in a protective export wooden crate, left at the building entrance.
During the finishing stage, every MÉLANIE bed receives a protective varnish that helps shield the wood from stains and minor scratches.
Easy maintenance
Simply dust the bed regularly with a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp one if needed. Avoid abrasive products and harsh industrial cleaners, which could damage the solid wood and its finish.
Protecting your bed
Do not place a solid wood bed directly next to a heat source (radiator, stove) or expose it for long periods to direct sunlight behind a window. Likewise, excessive humidity should be avoided to preserve the stability and appearance of the wood.
Occasional touch-ups
For minor repairs, you may use a furniture touch-up pen suited to the selected wood species.
If applying wax or oil, choose natural, non-chemical products to maintain the long-term beauty of solid wood.
