Maison GONTIER has been working with solid wood since 1920, and offers bedside tables exclusively in solid oak and cherry. These 2 wood species come from French sustainably managed forests.
Our bedside tables are handcrafted to order and can therefore be customized. You can choose the finish you want from our digital color chart of wood stains and lacquers.
We can also modify the dimensions if you wish, for a truly made-to-measure bedside table.
You'll find models with doors, others with shelves, but all the nightstands shown feature a drawer for storing your telephones and night-time accessories.

antique Louis Philippe and Louis XVI Directoire style bedside tables
The nightstands in the FLAUBERT collection are in the Louis Philippe style, with specific shapes such as curves, moldings, sabots and doucine drawers. You'll find tables with heights ranging from 60 cm to 70 cm. Some feature turned legs instead of clogs. The photos shown are examples of our customers' creations, so please feel free to personalize them.
The MELANIE collection is a modern take on the Directoire style. You'll see nightstands in a more refined design, with the symbolism of cartouches or fluting on the front. This more streamlined antique style is timeless and even becomes modern with colored finishes or stripes on drawers. This design gives furniture a lighter look.
Each piece of furniture is handcrafted to order and 100% French. We use traditional cabinetmaking principles such as dovetail assembly for drawer fronts, or mortise and tenon for larger pieces. Our aim is to provide you with a long-lasting piece of furniture that will serve you for many years to come.
We can also design and manufacture contemporary-style nightstands in oak or ash.
